It goes without saying that everybody would want to have a substantial amount of passive revenue to live off of for the rest of their life. This is of course just a dream for most people because they simply don’t have the knowledge or means of creating such an income. Most working people today are setting aside some money each month into their 401K’s for retirement. Unfortunately, this is the only savings they usually have toward retirement.

This is why I decided I was not going be like everyone else and simply put money aside blindly hoping that time will take care of my retirement. With the uncertainty of social security and the looming recession it is very important for people to look for a better means of securing their future. It is clear to me that the best way to go about this is to create a significant enough passive income to secure ones future.

The common retirement approach I read about all the time is to steadily save enough money (usually close to 1 million) until retirement and draw out of the yearly return for the rest of your life. While this approach can work it is simply not secure enough of a strategy. Here is why:

Most people don’t have the discipline to save for that long
The amount needed in the future to keep the same life style is hard to calculate
Getting the desired annual return consistently is not guaranteed
You are planning on waiting way too long to retire

A diverse amount of passive revenue streams is the answer. The Internet has paved the way for many new ways of creating such streams. Don’t simply invest in your 401k for the rest of your life you should consider more than just the limited number of stocks available. There are more options you should know about.
