I will briefly explain to you the true and easiest way on how to make money online. There is a garbage dump of information on the internet regarding how to make money online. Well, I went digging into this garbage for about a year and came out with only the useful stuff. Keep in mind that I am writing this under the assumption that you already have a website or blog and want to start making money from it. If you do not have a site then go read this article on starting a Wordpress blog.
In my experience, I have found that Pay-Per-Click advertising is the simplest method on how to make money online. You display ads somewhere on your site and then you make money every time someone clicks on one the ads. There are a few good companies you can choose from for this.
Google Adsense – How to make money online using Google adsense. This is by far the easiest and most popular PPC advertising company. First you have to register an account at the Google adsense website. Once you are approved then you can start creating ads for your site. Create an ad using their simple interface and assign it a channel so you can keep track of how well it is working. Google offers a variety of text and image ads you can choose from. I don’t need to list all of them here. That info is cleary visible on their site.
Next you will copy the code they give you and paste it on a webpage in your site where you want the ad to show up. If you know nothing about html that is ok. Depending on if you are using a website or a blog you determine how you to edit the code. Reading the instructions on the adsense site for implementing the code should help you out.
Adsense pays by check or direct deposit and on the 15th of each month. You have to earn at least $100 before they will pay you your first check.
Infolinks – How to make money online using In-text ads. This is an in-text PPC advertising company. In-text means that certain text will become highlighted on one of your pages and when you mouse over it an ad will appear. These In-text ads are also Pay-Per-Click. Once you create an account and get approved you can start creating the code for the in-text link ads.
In-text ads are even easier to implement on your site. They give you one code to put in a specific spot on your site and then the ads show up automatically from the company. The ads will be tailored to match the content of the site they are on automatically. How simple right?
The cool thing about this company is they pay via Paypal. If you do not have a Paypal account then you should get one because it makes things much easier.
The above programs are two of my favorites but there are more PPC advertising companies out there that you can choose from.
Kontera – Very popular. In-text ads just like Infolinks. Pays through paypal as well.
Bidvertiser – This company offers a wide variety of ads such as Banners, Buttons, Inline Ads, Skyscrapers and Free Design.
Adbrite – Very similar to Adsense. Pays you before you earn $100 dollars though.
Simply search around for more of these companies. New ones will show up once in awhile.
Types of Ads To Use – You can try out any ad that you want but one of the most successful ads is the 300×250 medium triangle inside the text on a page. Try out different ads in different spots but make sure you strictly follow the policies set by each company to avoid getting your account banned.
Pay-Per-Click advertising is by far the simplest way on how to make money online. No matter what people say, this is really the easiest way to do it. Some people might tell you that using affiliate marketing is how to make money online. You can make tons of money online using affiliate marketing but it is more difficult and takes more time. Trust me PPC ads are the easiest way to go. You can use the same account for many different sites too.
Try not to over do it and put too many ads on your site. I know we are talking about how to make money online but people can get annoyed by too many intrusive ads and you could lose traffic. Traffic is the second most important aspect of how to make money online besides putting the actual ads on your site.

You are correct. However, when it comes to beginners with a website, this is probably the simplest way. Mainly because you can just set it and forget it.

Thanks Ben for the post. I think I’m very sceptical when it comes to posts related to making money online. What works for you might not work for me. I’ve had working strategies that worked for my friends who sells mobiles but never increased any of my KPI’s. I guess – I keep trying out other ways.

You should always be skeptical. There is just too many scams out there. However, this strategy can pretty much work for anyone. It’s quite simple. You may not make a truck load of money right away, but you can make some. It all depends on how much traffic you get really.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was a bit wary about Bidvertiser and Kontera ( I guess this still boils down to my being sceptical), have you ever used it or know anyone that have. What happens when I look for info online, is that I stumble upon very biased posts. I love hearing from real live scenarios..

I have used Kontera before on this blog. Their ads are different. They only show up on the page when the page visit is the result of a search engine search. This way you don’t always have to bother repeat visitors with ads. Bidvertiser has similar ads to Adsense and they also have text link ads that they will sell automatically for you on for site but I never really found a use for them just yet.
