Harvest Energy Trust (HTE) Is Sky Rocketing!
HTE Harvest Energy Trust has jumped almost 4 dollars in the last few days. I am not sure what has caused it except the recent Motley fool article that was published. Regardless, I am very delighted to see this as I bought shares of this Candian Oil Trust earlier this year at under 4 dollars a share.
HTE pays a handsome monthly dividend which they recently dropped by 80%. It is now at 10%. Still a decent dividend if you ask me.
It was interesting how I purchased this stock. When I got layed off from my last job I took out my 401K to invest it on my own. Sadly with 401K’s you only get to pick out of the stocks they offer. However, it is still worth it to invest because of the dollar match companies usually pay. This is basically free money.
I had been interested in HTE for awhile and when I seen the price drop so low I just couldn’t resist. Hopefully HTE goes up even higher

I see you are looking into Canadian income trusts! That’s cool. I am a shareholders of a couple of income trusts myself. One of the reason why I like income trusts its because of their high dividends.
As an investor, I am trying to invest in companies who can provide me a good and stable dividend and, let’s hope for the best, who will by rising over time.
HTE is a good one, but I do not own any units of this company.
One of the reason being that I read somewhere in a Canadian newspaper call Globe and Mail that there’s a risk associate with companies who pay very well in dividends, in the sense that’s high paying dividends come with a risk. You can find Globe and Mail on the Internet. Useful tips – especially right now, when the TSX flying to more than 10 000 points.
Way to go Canada! (I am Canadian lol).

Every stock investment comes with a risk. It is all a matter of degree. You have to look closely at the numbers. Companies that have high cash flow with high dividends tent to be lower risk because they have the cash on hand to buy back shares when needed.
I want to visit Canada someday.

Remember how in the matrix those machines used the heat from humans as energy? So is it possible for us to use common animals like cats and dogs or mice, or perhaps incubate lots and lots of bacteria or something and harvest energy from either in the form of heat or some other?

Hahhaha! I am pretty sure we could do it from those animals if we developed the technology, however, remember the human body can produce far more heat and electricity than dogs cats and mice probably would therefore we would need a lot more of them. I think we would be better off using monkeys and gorillas.
In reality we would probably never need to do that because we can get all of the heat and electricity from our natural sources such as geothermal energy, solar power, tidal power, wind power, etc. We simply need to harness these readily available resources for the sake of all people, and we would be better off.
